My experience in Colorado at the OTC was truly on of the highlights of my sports medicine career. Resident athletes are training to compete in the 2012 Paralympic Games and Olympics Games next summer. It was an honor to care for these athletes and work with the sports professionals on staff. The innovative training techniques, diagnostic and treatment methods provided a great learning experience. Every day was an opportunity to cross-pollinate and teach each other as we tried to find the best way to keep the athletes healthy and perform at the Olympic caliber. The other volunteers were very talented and an essential part of my experience. I look forward to volunteering again with the athletes in the rarefied air of Colorado Springs and am hopeful to be a part of the 2012 Games in London.
